MARSEILLE

Štúdio tanca dance theatre aims Slovak Culture Week in Marseille. 

 

Within the projekt Košice 2013, European Capital of Culture, we are going to go to twin town Marseille, to Slovak Culture Week. The Slovak Culture week is organized by the Slovak Culture Institute in Paris, theatre Toursky and the twin town Marseille. From 14th – 17th of May we will present  the Slovak theatre and contemporary dance with interesting program.

 

Štúdio tanca dance theatre  will perform their dance performance „Merruments of the Past“ in choreography by Milan Tomášik. The performance is inspired by the English Renaissance dance of the 17th of century- Parson´s Farewell. It is about twou worlds- the past in the form of reconstructing historical dance  and portrait of today. „Sudden strike past, dig into the future, knock but I would not want. But yes, I just wanted to. Two worlds come together, stand together delicately. Start from the beginning.“ These are words of choreographer- Milan Tomášik, who lives and create in Slovenia and Belgium.
